Parish Men’s Retreat: Saturday, February 12:

A pre-Lenten opportunity to focus, share, connect, and prepare.  The subject will be the parable of the “Publican and the Pharisee,” amplified and illumined by ancient and contemporary commentary.  We’ll have a lunch together.  Look for a sign-up sheet.  Fee will be minimal.

Annual Parish Meeting is set for Sunday, February 13:

Agenda: Roll, Minutes from last year, Reports, Election of the Council Class of 2014, New & Old Business, Adjournment.  Brunch will follow.

Decorum in church:

When a reader or readers, the deacon, the priest, the bishop or any combination of these are standing in the middle of the nave, please do not walk between (i.e., in front of) them and the altar area.  If you must move from one icon and candelabrum to another, please go around behind the person in the middle of the nave.  Better yet, refrain from venerating icons and lighting candles while there is a liturgist stationed in the middle of the nave.  Thank you.
